Champion of sustainable fashion Livia Firth was honored today as a Leader of Change for 2012, at the United Nations and Foundation for Social Change conference. Firth is the founder of the Green Carpet Challenge, the co-founder of ethical-design store Eco Age.
“It feels amazing and is such a great incentive for all of us at Eco Age and the Green Carpet Challenge to keep doing what we do. With this honor now I can be even pushier with everyone I try to involve!” said Firth of her new title.
Firth, who has brought sustainable fashion to the red carpet and has involved top designers like Valentino, Lanvin, Gucci, and Prada also said “I will continue my efforts with the GCC but the role also allows me to be involved with a number of high level roundtables around the world. It gives me a voice to discuss the real issues ethical fashion represents and on a much larger scale.”
Congratulations! and we can’t wait to see more from the Green Carpet Challenge!
